The estate
Guillaume d'Angerville, owner of Domaine Marquis d'Angerville, wanted to produce other styles of wine and work with other grape varieties. So in 2012, together with François Duvivier, he created the Domaine du Pélican. Guillaume d'Angerville and François Duvivier are convinced that you have to look after your vineyard to produce great wines, so they pay particular attention to their vines, soil and terroir as a whole.
The wine
Grand Curoulet is a single-varietal Chardonnay. The vines come from soils typical of the Jura region. These soils allow the Chardonnay to retain its freshness and tension. The wine has great aromatic depth and an intensity worthy of the best vintages. Grand Curoulet opens with notes of green apple, mirabelle plum, spices and honeysuckle.
