The estate

Domaine Cosse et Maisonneuve is the fruit of a partnership between two winemakers: Matthieu Cosse and Catherine Maisonneuve. The estate is planted with Malbec, Merlot, Gamay and Cabernet Franc. Vinification is carried out in the most natural way possible, in particular using indigenous yeasts to fully reflect the terroir from which the wines are made.

The wine

The vines are around forty years old and grow on limestone, red clay and iron soil. The ‘Les Laquets’ cuvée is a sanguine wine, with structured tannins and notes of ripe black fruit and prunes. The finish is chalky and long.

Best served at around 15°C - 17°C degrees.
