The estate

The Domaine des Ardoisières was created in 1998 and is run biodynamically. Yields are minimal and the grapes are harvested by hand, so the wines produced are of the highest quality and a perfect reflection of the Savoyard terroir.

The wine

Argile rouge is a typically Savoyard blend of Gamay and Persian grapes. Whole harvest vinification produces a wine with delicate vegetal notes, adding complexity alongside primary notes of candied red fruit such as strawberry.
