The estate
Maxime Dubuet-Boillot took over from his grandfather Pierre Boillot in 2016, taking over the estate's 5 hectares of vines. The estate covers some very well-known appellations, including Volnay, Pommard and Nuits-Saint-Georges. A member of the new generation of winemakers, Maxime vinifies his pinot noir using very gentle extractions, so the wines stand out for their finesse and elegance.
The wine
Sainte-Marie-la-Blanche is a little-known appellation just a few kilometres from Beaune. The appellation produces confidential wines that are well worth a visit. Here, Domaine Dubuet-Boillot offers a pinot noir with notes of cherry and strawberry. This cuvée is remarkably fluid and characterised by its lightness. The light, fine tannins blend perfectly with the wine. A real favourite!
