Description
The estate
When the winemaker took over his uncle's vineyards in Saint-Chef in 2005, he decided to replant the entire vineyard with indigenous grape varieties. Today, the estate's 5 hectares are planted with mondeuse, persan, verdesse and altesse, among others.
The wine
This Mondeuse from the Nicolas Gonin estate is distinguished by notes of red fruit such as cherry and raspberry, accompanied by more complex notes of black pepper and violet. The ripeness of the tannins is perfectly controlled and they are harmoniously integrated into the cuvée.
