The vineyard

The Pellé estate is now run by Paul-Henry Pellé, the fourth generation of the family. The vast majority of the estate's plots are planted on Kimmeridgian marl, giving the wines their typical character and tension. Thanks to careful vine management and very low yields, the estate's wines are concentrated and extremely precise.

The wine

This cuvée comes from a sunny terroir with a south-western exposure. This exposure, combined with Kimmeridgian marl soil, produces a Sauvignon that is both taut and has hints of exotic fruit. A few peppery notes on the finish add aromatic persistence.
