The Domaine

It is located in Ampuis, the cradle of the appellation Côte-Rôtie in the Rhone Valley. The son of Étienne Guigal, Marcel, took over the estate around twenty years after its creation in 1961. He was soon joined by his spouse Bernadette to make prosper the activity.

The wine

2013 has been exceptional in the Rhone Valley. The climatic conditions favored the ripeness of the grapes and contributed to the production of high-quality wines. Hermitage is renowned for its robust structure, complexity and aging potential.
