The Domaine
Created by the purchase of an estate in 1821, it has been extended by William Ponsot and all the following generations. Today managed by Rose-Marie Ponsot with the help of Alexandre Abel, the estate is recognized as one of the best in Burgundy and is a reference for the wines of Morey-Saint-Denis among others. The estate practices hands-off philosophy to the fullest.
The wine
From a mythical parcel of the commune of Morey.
2000 was a fairly good vintage in Burgundy, giving powerful notes of cherry and blackcurrant. The mouth develops a superb freshness but remains quite structured.
Alcohol abuse is harmful to your health, it must be consumed in moderation.
