Domaine Boillot 1993

A great table wine comparable to the Burgundy Grands Crus, thanks to the passion the family put into its work.

    Description

    The Domaine

The Boillot family has owned vines in Volnay since 1850. Lucien Boillot bought vines in Gevrey-Chambertin a century later to establish his exploitation. His son Pierre is now at the head of the estate and owns parcels in Côte de Nuits and Côte de Beaune over numerous terroirs, which is rare enough to be underlined for a small estate. The vines are around 55 years old which explains the complexity of the wines.

    The wine

It is described as fine, complex, with nice acidity. Red fruit aromas dominate in the mouth, especially cherry, strawberry, and raspberry.
