The domain
Jean-Luc Colombo is an epicurean winemaker who takes after his mother, a Marseille cook. His passion will lead him to studies in oenology, for the pleasure of understanding food and wine pairings. He settled in Cornas in 1980, where he would become an iconic winemaker.
The wine
The "Les Ruchets" 1992 cuvée is another gem from Domaine Colombo, crafted from vines located on one of the oldest and most renowned terroirs in Cornas. This wine receives special attention, with manual harvesting and traditional winemaking, combining modern techniques to enhance the expression of the terroir. The aging takes place in barrels, some of which are new, adding an extra dimension in terms of texture and harmony.
