The House was born in 1772 and owes its name to its founder Philippe Cliquot and to his daughter in law Barbe Ponsardin who became the head of the propriety thirty years later in 1805. Innovation and audacity are since marking the choices of the cellar team. The style stands out by the dominance of Pinot noir, and the vines planted on the soil of cray, that benefit from splendid sun exposure and are cultivated in certified sustainable viticulture.
