The domain
Founded in 1980 by Laurent Courbis, the estate is now run by his children, Thierry and Lionel Courbis. The estate is renowned for its quality wines, primarily made from Syrah. The Courbis family places particular emphasis on responsible vine cultivation, meticulous winemaking, and the pure expression of their terroir.
The wine
The wine displays a complex array of aromas of black fruits (blackcurrant, blackberry), spices (black pepper, licorice), and garrigue scents (thyme, rosemary), typical of the Cornas terroir. The wine is powerful, with firm but well-integrated tannins, good structure, and a beautiful length.
