The domain
Château Puy Arnaud Valette is a vineyard located in the Côtes de Castillon appellation, a neighboring region of Saint-Émilion, in the Bordeaux wine region. The château benefits from a quality terroir, with clay-limestone soils and an ideal exposure for the cultivation of grape varieties such as Merlot and Cabernet Franc.
The wine
On the nose, there are aromas of ripe dark fruits (blackcurrant, blackberry) combined with notes of tobacco and chocolate. This 2005 vintage offers beautiful complexity and a certain aging potential, with evolving aromas of leather and undergrowth as it matures. An elegant, harmonious, and promising wine.
