Despite a very hot and dry summer, champagne professionals are expecting a very good harvest this year, which has already started at the end of August. The committee has set the yield for the 2022 harvest at 12,000 kilos per hectare, its highest level for fifteen years.
Compared to the last two catastrophic years, 2020 and 2021, when the grapes successively suffered frost, mildew, hail and the Covid crisis, which considerably reduced harvests and sales, the 2022 vintage is marked by success.
